Yes, we are doing Chapel services in Grinnell’s Mayflower Community. Founded as a church ministry in 1950, the Mayflower has offered regular worship services from the start. Prior to the pandemic, Chapel was held for all Mayflower residents every Tuesday morning in the Carman Center, the 2nd floor meeting hall located in the Health Center.

Valerie Wedgeworth, a retired accountant from Des Moines, was recently hosted by the Community Life department at Mayflower to play flute for residents. She says that she “…has fun playing for senior living communities. The residents are so nice to play for, and it’s SO fun playing songs to bring back memories.” Valerie has played
