On Thursday, August 15th, The Mayflower Community (Grinnell IA) held its annual carnival for residents in the Health Center and in Beebe Assisted Living. The Activity staff of Chery Nelson, Director; and Tracy Woolfork, Assistant Director; and volunteers Carolyn Orndorff and Donna Weisskopf, set up the Carman Center with 19 different games played by residents with the assistance of volunteers.
23 Grinnell College Community Advisors, the student resident hall leadership group, provided one-on-one assistance to about 40 different residents. Their Student Affairs Residence Life Coordinator is Lindsy Morgan.
In addition resident John Noer and Mayflower’s Housekeeping staff helped transport residents. All had fun and will be recuperating as they anticipate next year’s carnival!
