Residents of Mayflower Community’s Health Center and Beebe Assisted Living just keep celebrating. First it was St. Patrick’s Day with a party and refreshments. Oh, yes, “kick ball” with a green ball was included. Then, residents enjoyed the Lyceum program of Irish music. Grinnell College student volunteer, Aubrey Torhorst, brought her craft skills to share. Dennis Perry played a mix of country and pop music in the Carman Center.
Health Center resident, Jean Carpenter, is so engaged in her art work that she goes out crafting every Friday with her daughters. Karen Stevenson is working on watercolor painting using salt and rubbing alcohol.
And, to prove that life springs anew, former Health Center administrative assistant, Jessica Hasenyager, brought her baby boy Finley to brighten the day for residents.
