As of the most recent rating period, February 28, 2109, the Mayflower Health Center is rated by the Federal government as a Five Star healthcare facility, the highest rating available. The U.S. Depart of Health and Human Services’ Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) instituted the Five Star rating system to assist the public in getting a quality perspective of nursing facilities.
The overall rating and the sub-categories are scored from one to five stars, with one being “Much Below Average” and five being “Much Above Average” in resident care. Mayflower is rated Five Stars Overall and Five Stars in the “Quality Measures,” “Staffing,” and “Registered Nurse Staffing” sub-categories. The staffing categories are especially important, as those are the areas that some nursing facilities cut in order to make money.
Mayflower was first rated as Five Stars Overall in 2013. Our veteran and dedicated Health Center staff continue to keep us highly rated.
