On Wednesday, December 18th, members of the 7th & 8th grade Student Council from the Grinnell Middle School came to The Mayflower Community Health Center for activities with residents.
According to their sponsor, Paula Simon, the students enjoy this outing so much that they convinced her to schedule this one more before winter break. While at Mayflower, the students played games and sang carols. The game pictured here is “parachute volleyball.” The students sang out karaoke-style as carols played on the big screen. Enhancing the time with residents was Ms. Simon’s therapy dog Ash, a white lab.
The students had a good time….so did the residents. Mayflower appreciates all that the Grinnell Schools do to make time available to students to integrate with Mayflower residents.
