This last week, Mayflower’s Health Center residents were excited to see their friends from Grinnell Middle School return for more fun and games. And, of course, they were accompanied by therapy dog Ash and owner Paula Simon, GMC Counselor. Great fun.
This time, the group bowled and played parachute beach ball. By the way, the latter game is designed to be played in warm weather on the beach in swimsuits. We considered it, but decided the bus trip was too long. So, residents and students alike adjusted to playing indoors in the Health Center. Still had fun.
Mayflower much appreciates the volunteer efforts by the GMS students and the leadership of the faculty, especially Paula, in making these gatherings happen. Mayflower’s Community Life staff, Leslie Jaworski Director, and Tracy Woolfolk and Cecelia Bagnoli Coordinators, coordinated the event…everything except the pin resetting.
