Beginning on Monday, May 9th, The Mayflower Community will be celebrating national “Nursing Facility Appreciation Week.” The theme for this week is “Creating & Nurturing Connections.” Each day Mayflower will recognize a separate department, celebrate a fun theme, and encourage staff members to participate. Activities and fun snacks will be offered to staff throughout the week.
Monday will be “Thank-You to Facilities.” “If They Build It, We Will Come Baseball Day.” Employees will wear their favorite cap or jersey. The movie, Field of Dreams, will be shown in the Health Center and in Beebe Assisted Living with popcorn.
Tuesday will be “Thank-You to Administration Staff.” “Better Together Decades Day.” Staff will wear an outfit that defines a particular decade! Walking tacos will be available to all staff via Mayflower’s online meal ordering application.
Wednesday will be “Thank-You to Food Service.” “Key ingredients.” Staff are asked to get creative and wear food-inspired outfits. Goodies “to go” will be distributed by the Community Life Team.

Friday will be “Thank-You to Housekeeping & Laundry.” “Pair Together/Twinning Day.” Staff should grab a buddy (resident or staff) and make a connection by wearing something similar. A sundae bar will be offered in Carman Center to show Mayflower’s sweet appreciation for the work the staff performs.
