This week, the Mayflower Community is celebrating “Nursing Facility Appreciation Week.” We encouraged our staff members to wear their best spirit wear to go along with each day’s theme. On Tuesday, May 11th, the theme was favorite team colors or sporting wear. Walking tacos were provided at lunchtime to remind our employees that they are “nacho average staff!”
Monday was “Donut Day, You don’t know how much we appreciate you,” marked by donuts for all. Staff members wore pajamas or loungewear. Wednesday is “Hats Off to Our Awesome Staff,’ with favorite hat-wearing and a barbeque and live music on the Buckley Patio. Thursday will be “You’ve Been a ‘Lifesaver’ Over the Years” celebrated with bowls of Lifesaver candies. The week will be topped off on Friday with “You Deserve a Vacation” Day, celebrating staff in beachwear with Italian ice treats.
