Mayflower Dining — Now and In the Future

Meal times, special meals, celebrations in The Mayflower Community (Grinnell, Iowa) are a highlight. Why? Well, besides the opportunity to be with good people — our residents and their guests — the food is GREAT! Always has been. Catering needs…Who you gonna call? Mayflower!

Convenient meals without having to leave the buildings and tunnels. Mayflower! Meals make us healthy and happy.

Now, independent living dining at Mayflower looks like the attached photo. There are two menus at lunch and supper. One is the regular full menu with two choices of entrée, starch, and vegetables, soup (always tasty), salad bar at lunch, and homemade desserts. In addition, from 10:30am until 6:00pm, there is a “bistro” menu of entrée salad or two different sandwich choices, all with garnish and drink for $5.00 or less. Side salads and soup are also available in the Bistro.

You say, “How could this be any better?” Just wait. By April, we will expand our offerings via a program called “Open Dining” to include a broader menu and foods prepared to order. That sounds exciting. (It is!) Tell me more. Watch this spot for more information.
