In recognition of Thursday, October 7th being designated as Iowa’s Healthiest State Walk, residents of The Mayflower Community partook in various activities to support healthy initiatives. Some walked—alone or in small groups. Some exercised. Some had active conversations!
Leslie Jaworski, Mayflower’s Director of Community Life, coordinated the day’s “walk” events and has organized various other activities for the rest of the month.
In the accompanying photograph, Leslie provides transportation for Health Center resident Kathy Locey. A jaunt in Mayflower’s well-known Buckley Courtyard is enhanced by the turning of the leaves.
