New Year’s Eve. The Mayflower Community. Celebration. That all adds up to special food treats last Thursday night.
As usual, the Mayflower Bistro was open to serve the sandwich and salad menu along with Mayflower’s homemade pizza. That is how some residents partied.
In addition, two special offerings were also available.
The Charcuterie (SHärˈko͞odərē) Plate included cheeses (brie, cheddar, and Wensleydale with cranberries), apricot jam, prosciutto (Italian dry-cured ham), and assorted crackers.
The warm Hors D’ oeuvres option included squash bruschetta, puff pastry with caramelized onions and mushrooms, bacon-wrapped dates.
Yummy!
Residents had the option of picking up their snacks in the Buckley Dining Room or having them delivered to their homes. Almost 100 meals were served.
The other good news? 2020 is gone forever!
