Sydney Bradford, LAT, is an Iowa Board of Medicine licensed acupuncturist and is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She will be seeing patients in The Mayflower Community, using the Integrated Health Center space in the lower-level of the Pearson building.
A Grinnell native, Sydney graduated from Central College, Pella, earning her bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She then studied for her Masters in Acupuncture at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude and valedictorian of her class in 2021.
During her education, Sydney completed over 540 clinical hours and numerous internships including Bloomington Natural Care Clinic, Integrative Clinic of Minnesota, De Rusha Clinic, and Woodwinds Hospital. Throughout these internships, she performed acupuncture treatments and other accessory modalities for patients in a variety of settings under the supervision of a licensed acupuncturist. Her most fulfilling internship was Woodwinds Hospital where she provided acupuncture to patients in orthopedic and maternity care.
In her professional approach, Sydney seeks to find the root cause of her patients’ illness and provide holist treatment. Each treatment plan is developed using traditional Chinese medicine theory and modern diagnostic assessment while considering patients’ personal care goals. Sydney is committed to introducing people to acupuncture while working with them in their health journey.
