On Wednesday, June 26th from 2:00-4:00pm, The Mayflower Community will celebrate 41 years of service in the July 1st retirement of three staff members.
Pat Conn, R.N. has served three “tours of duty” at Mayflower, the most recently as the weekend supervisor in our Health Center. Pat began working as a nurse in the Health Center in 1994. All totaled, she has worked with Mayflower residents for 23 years.
Rev. Christine Tinker began her service as Mayflower’s chaplain in 2008. She retires as Spiritual Care Coordinator with 11 years of service. Christine has been especially involved with residents and their families at the end of life, which has resulted in her officiating at a large number of funerals and celebrations.
Rev. Len Eberhart joined the Mayflower staff as part-time chaplain after his retirement as a pastor in the Iowa Conference of the United Methodist Church, most recently as senior pastor at the Grinnell United Methodist Church. Len has been serving as chaplain to Beebe Assisted Living residents and staff to the residents’ Chapel Committee.
The Wednesday event will be held in the Buckley Dining Room and will feature scrumptious hors d’oeuvres.
